An investigation has been launched by the police commissioner into the death of a man at a Glasgow hospital while in police care.
The 26-year-old man died at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary having been transported from Stewart Police Station on Tuesday, March 22.
He had been taken to the city centre hospital to receive medical treatment, reports the Daily Record.
The nature of his death is currently unknown.

The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and report their findings to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).
A statement from the watchdog reads: "COPFS has instructed us to investigate the circumstances of the death of a 26-year-old man in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on March 22, 2022.
"He was taken to hospital from the public area of Stewart Street police station.
"At the conclusion of our investigation a report will be sent to COPFS."
The Daily Record has approached Police Scotland for comment.
