Gardai carried out searches at a number of homes in the Ballincollig area of Cork this afternoon, during which they seized a number of weapons and drugs.
While investigations are ongoing into the aforementioned seizure, the raids led to one man in his 20s being arrested on unrelated charges.
He was taken into custody for questioning at the Ballincollig Garda Station.

Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing into the seizure of weapons and drugs, but not further information is available at this time.
Speaking about the search operation carried out on Friday, a spokesperson for Gardai said: “Gardaí based at Ballincollig and Togher Stations, supported by the ASU, conducted searches of a number of properties in the Ballincollig area today, the 9th September 2022.
"During the course of these searches a number of weapons, including knives, a suspected firearm and pellet guns, along with a small quantity of controlled drugs.
"One man was arrested and charged in respect of unrelated matters and brought to Ballincollig Garda Station.
"Investigations are ongoing."
