Love Island star Malin Andersson has been forced to defend herself after cruel body-shamers slammed her recent weight loss.
The former reality TV star was targeted by keyboard warriors when she took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off her brand-new figure in a risqué blue lingerie set.
Malin, 30, who first shot to fame on the second series of the ITV2 dating show in 2016, has dropped some weight after she recently welcomed her second baby.
Following the birth of her daughter Xaya last February, Malin has been hitting it hard at the gym in a bid to become the best version of herself, and showing off her impressive results on Instagram in her latest post, the mum was met with much criticism as one keyboard warriors dubbed her weight loss as 'ridiculous'.
In her gorgeous Instagram shot, Malin - who went makeup free for the offering - revealed that she had been struggling following brutal mum shaming after her pregnancy in the caption.
The former Love Island star explained that she had been 'covering up' in most of her recent social media posts after experiencing negative comments about her body from followers.
Malin hit back at the trolls by encouraging them to promote 'body positivity' and to think twice before they comment on another woman's figure.
"Whilst I’ve had so many messages and encouragement on my fitness and mental well-being journey, I’ve also had fans unfollow me for ‘losing weight’," Malin wrote.
"Let me note losing weight came with me opting for healthier lifestyle choices over a year long. Now I’ve always been an advocate for body positivity and that means embracing every part of you. Whatever size.
"But what I don’t like seeing is people judging me for embarking on my fitness and health.
"So sadly I haven’t done my funny reels in lingerie or many posts in bikinis etc, I even wore a t shirt in yesterday's reel cos I wanted to cover up. I was so scared of being judged about not looking the same - I’ve done a few stories but I seriously have hidden myself and I don’t even know why I let it bother me.
Malin went on: "So today I woke up and thought I don’t give a flying monkeys anymore because it’s my body and I feel strong and mentally better.
"I will never shove any fitness or diet plan in any of your face's cos that’s not me, but all I can say is that exercise and eating nourishing food has brought my head into the best place."
Malin lost a lot of weight following the birth of her baby girl, her breakup with her daughter's dad just two weeks after her birth, and the sad passing of her mum.
Since welcoming her daughter, Malin has been focusing on herself both mentally and physically and focusing on her inner happiness.
