Malik Tillman anticipates Rangers levels increase against Celtic as he talks up 'funny guy' Alfredo Morelos impact

Malik Tillman is anticipating that Rangers will make improvements from their performance against Motherwell when Celtic come to their home patch.

The Bayern Munich loanee scored in a comfortable 3-0 Premiership win over the Steelmen alongside Alfredo Morelos and Connor Goldson. They still trail by nine points in the title race and next Monday provides a major chance to cut the Celtic deficit at the top from to six.

Tillman was satisfied with the Motherwell victory but insists there is more to come from Michael Beale's side, who have won four games on the bounce since his arrival as manager. The attacking midfielder told Rangers TV: "We won but I think in the first half, we didn't reach our level. In the second half, it was a bit better, but all in all, I think we can still improve a lot and hopefully we are going to give a better game on Monday.

"I am always happy to score or assist and today I got it also in front of my family, so that pleased me a lot. We are going to keep looking forward and try to win the other coming games as well.

Colombian international Morelos and Tillman were linking up throughout the match. The latter says it's a partnership beginning to blossom, with the striker on two goals and an assist since Beale arrived.

He added: "Alfredo is a good guy, a funny guy! He tries to score goals every single game and I try to help him in that case. I try to help the team as best as I can and fortunately it happens quite a lot to help him as well."
