Malik Tillman and the Rangers permanent transfer clue hiding in plain sight as Michael Beale makes intentions clear

Michael Beale has hinted that Rangers will look to sign Bayern Munich loanee Malik Tillman permanently - branding the playmaker "the future" of the club.

The 20-year-old has showed his best form at Ibrox since Beale stepped into the hot seat and looks set to return from injury when Rangers face off against Dundee United, and will look to continue to impress the boss with the club holding a £5million option for a permanent deal should the Germans decides to sell him this summer. Bayern could offer the USA international a second chance in the first-team following Thomas Tuchel's appointment.

The long-term futures of Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry could also play a factor, with the duo tipped with a move away from Bayern Munich this summer could open a door for Tillman to make a bid for a starting spot in pre-season. But Beale appears to have made his intentions clear over a permanent transfer.

Quizzed on fitting both Todd Cantwell and Tillman into the team, Beale offered fans a glimpse into his long term plans for the Light Blues' - and dropped a hint that the US international could be at Ibrox beyond the summer as he branded the duo "the future of Rangers". He said: "Yeah, you definitely fit them in the same team if they deserve it with their training because at the moment it's hard to pick squads.

"You’re saying you have to pick it off the level of your training and your performances, so if they're both training well and in form, then you find a way to play those two players because they're two fantastic players and they've got a really good relationship off the pitch. In time I'd love to see that coming out more and more in big games because you'd like to think they're the future of Rangers."
