A male pedestrian has died after he was struck by a car in Mayo on Monday morning.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene at Dooagh in Keel, Achill at around 3.15am.
Sadly, the injured man aged in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was taken to Mayo University Hospital and Gardaí say the scene is being preserved pending a forensic investigation.
Gardaí launched an appeal for witnesses on Monday and, in a statement to Galway Beo said: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Dooagh in Keel, Achill, Co. Mayo, this morning, Monday 25th July 2022."
The statement continues: "The collision occurred at approximately 3:15am and involved a car and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a man aged in his 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital.
"There were no other injuries reported. The scene is currently preserved for Forensic Collision Investigators."
