This isn’t really much of a surprise, but it’s official now. Former Ohio State stars E.J. Liddell and Malaki Branham have both been invited to the 2022 NBA scouting combine. The duo appeared on a list of 76 names that will make their way to Chicago, Illinois from May 16 through the 22nd to show the NBA scouts and executives what they are made of.
Both are leaving college before their eligibility has been exhausted but in different ways. Liddell started his career slowly at OSU but improved every single year on his way to a first-team All-Big Ten selection last year.
Branham started slowly too, but found his rhythm midway through his freshman season and quickly became arguably Ohio State’s most dynamic player and began to rise up draft boards. Both are considered first-round grades, with Branham garnering the most attention as of late because of his upside.

The NBA draft is set to take place on Thursday, June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. We’ll have all the reaction and analysis leading up to all the fun, and as both former Buckeyes hear their names called.
