The New York Giants are going through a roster purge under new general manager Joe Schoen. They have already released veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph and running back Devontae Booker, and more cuts are coming.
One cut that isn’t coming is that former first-round pick Saquon Barkley. If the Giants want to shed themselves of Barkley and his $7.2 million price tag, they’ll have to find a trade partner for him.
That may not be as easy as it sounds. They first have to have the in-house debate over whenever trading Barkley is the right move for the franchise.
