Michael Owen insists that Liverpool 'will be back' because they have too many good players, as the Reds continue to struggle in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's side were a single point off winning their 20th league title last season, which would have completed a domestic treble and only missed out on the Champions League after losing 1-0 to Real Madrid in the final a week later.
But it's been a totally different story for the Reds this time around, having got off to a poor start that they have never recovered from. Sitting eighth in the table, Liverpool were held to a largely forgettable 0-0 draw by Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday that did little to help either below-par side in their quest to start climbing the league ladder.

With the Premier League title effectively off the table, even hopes of qualifying for the Champions League look bleak, with a 10-point deficit to recover looking increasingly doubtful. However, former Kop goal king Owen is certain that the Reds will soon be back at the top, thanks to the quality that they have at their disposal.
Speaking on Premierleague.com, Owen said: "They're having to find their way again. Make no mistake, Liverpool will be back. They're still a very good team. Only a few months ago they were a couple of games off being the most successful team of all time. They're such a good team, it's just that they're going through a rocky patch.
"They had a rocky patch a couple of years ago. They lost about half a dozen games on the spin at Anfield. It happens. They will bounce back, it's just a matter of when."
Liverpool will be hoping that league leaders Arsenal can do the Reds a favour this afternoon by beating Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. United are currently fourth in the table, 10 points ahead of the Reds, having played the same number of games before today's crunch fixture.
