He was crowned 2022's Pundit of the Year.
Everyone has become so used to hearing his tones on the airwaves and on television screens for several years now.
So, it's been a long summer without Ally McCoist entertaining listeners and viewers across the country.
However, the good news is that the Rangers legend will be back before we know it.
The former Scotland international is due back on talkSPORT's Breakfast Show next week.
Their schedule reveals that Super Ally will be back in position from 6am next Monday, August 7.
For the time being, it appears he will be the main presenter on the show, with Andy Townsend featuring alongside him.
The pair will fill the breakfast slot on both Monday and Tuesday before Coisty re-joins old pal Alan Brazil on Wednesday's show.
Celtic-daft Brazil will now be stepping up to host programmes three days a week from Wednesday to Friday.
Laura Woods departed talkSPORT this summer, as she opted to take up a new presenting role at TNT Sports, formerly known as BT.
The 36-year-old will be the face of the broadcaster's Champions League and Premier League coverage.
As well as calling time at talkSPORT, she in turn ended her on-air close partnership with McCoist. He has been linked with reuniting with her at TNT, though.
Her replacement has yet to be officially confirmed, although former Soccer Saturday anchor Jeff Stelling is believed to be the frontrunner.
