Major supermarkets including Asda, Sainsbury's and Aldi are removing spirits, sweets, fish and more from shelves

A number of major supermarkets have removed Russian items from their shelves this week, as the Putin's invasion of Ukraine continues.

Asda, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Waitrose have responded to calls to boycott sales of Russian goods in the UK in hopes of applying pressure on the Russian government to back down.

Tesco, meanwhile, has not removed any products from its shelves, but has committed to not placing any further orders with Russian suppliers.
