Dehradun: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a big setback in Uttarakhand. Col Ajay Kothiyal, who was AAP's chief ministerial face in the last elections in the state, resigned from the party on May 18. He is likely to join the ruling BJP soon.
Kothiyal sent in his resignation letter to AAP's national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stating that he was resigning from the membership of AAP for the sentiments of ex-servicemen, paramilitary, elderly, women, youth and intellectuals.
