A major road is closed in both directions after a man was hurt in a motorbike crash.
Merseyside Police rushed to Hawthorne Road in Kirkdale at around 4.25pm on Monday, June 20, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a Ford Puma and a motorbike had crashed on the road.
The North West Ambulance Service were asked to attend the scene by Merseyside Police as the 50-year-old motorbike rider had a leg injury. Officers closed the road while emergency services deal with the incident.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called at 4.25pm today to reports of a collision between a Ford Puma and a motorbike on Hawthorne Road. The rider of the bike, a man in his 50s, suffered a leg injury.
"There are currently road closures in place in the local area to all for enquiries to be carried out."
