Republican donor Andy Sabin recently expressed his support for President Biden to remain in the race, citing a potential 'landslide victory' if he continues. Sabin revealed that he and other major Republican donors believe in Biden's ability to secure a significant win in the upcoming election.
During an interview, Sabin shared insights into the dynamics of donor support in political races. He mentioned that donors tend to withdraw their support when they perceive a lack of viability in the candidate they are backing. Sabin recounted a similar scenario involving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, where dwindling donor support led to the governor's decision to exit the race.
Despite initially backing DeSantis, Sabin emphasized the importance of Biden's candidacy for the Republican party. He highlighted the potential for Biden to not only secure victory but also to positively impact down-ticket races, including Senate and House elections.
Additionally, Sabin revealed his public display of support for former President Trump by placing Trump signs in his yard, even in the left-leaning town of East Hampton on Long Island's East End.
Furthermore, Sabin stressed the significance of the Vice Presidential pick for the upcoming election. He expressed a strong desire to see Tim Scott as the running mate alongside Trump in the November election.
