A 47-year-old man has been arrested in Goulburn during an international operation targeting Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang members and associates.
He was arrested and charged at 5.45pm on Wednesday, June 10 with supplying a prohibited drug, supplying an unregistered pistol, possessing a dedicated encrypted criminal communication device, participating in a criminal group, and possessing suspected stolen goods.
NSW police say his arrest was in relation to a shooting in Narellan in 2025.
He was refused bail to appear before the Local Court on Thursday, June 11.
The charges came during a National Day of Action targeting Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) members and associates under Task Force Morpheus.
The operation is a joint law enforcement initiative that involves police, government agencies, and partners in Australia and New Zealand.
In NSW, the Criminal Groups Squad was assisted by the Raptor Squad, Northwest Metropolitan Operational Support Group, Orana Mid-Western Police District, NSW Crime Commission, NSW Health and NSW Corrective Services.
On the day, police also executed 12 firearm prohibition order compliance checks and, with assistance of NSW Corrective Services, executed five cell searches.
Officers seized four prohibited weapons, a replica firearm, about one kilogram of cannabis, heroin, methamphetamine and a small quantity of steroids.
Commander of State Crime Command's criminal groups squad, acting Detective Superintendent Glyn Baker, said the co-ordinated operation reinforces the commitment of police across Australia.
"By acting together, the NSW Police Force and our partner agencies send a clear message: we will continue to disrupt, deter, and dismantle organised criminal activity wherever it emerges," he said.
"No criminal organisation, or those working on their behalf, should ever assume they are beyond the reach of law enforcement."
Further charges are expected.
