Major march to take place in Nottingham city centre in solidarity with Ukraine

A solidarity march for Ukraine has been planned for Nottingham city centre on Saturday, March 19. It is hoped that the march will raise awareness and show opposition to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The march will start at the Robin Hood statue by Nottingham castle at 1.30pm before heading into the city centre then ending at Market Square. It has been organised by the Nottingham Ukraine Solidarity Campaign who are a group of Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian people opposed to the invasion and war.

Its the second solidarity event to take place in the city centre in recent weeks. The first event on Saturday, March 13 saw more than 200 people meet at Brian Clough statue to sing the Ukrainian national anthem and listen to speakers address the crowd.
