A passenger had to be rescued from a car after it smashed into a telephone box outside Anfield Stadium.
Police, firefighters and ambulance services were called to a junction on Hartnup Street, closed to Liverpool FC's ground, shortly after 1am today, July 1. One passenger was taken from the car by emergency services and was taken to hospital.
The car's driver and another passenger were unharmed.

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Crews were alerted at 1.12am and on scene at 1.17am. Two fire engines and the Search and Rescue Team attended. Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) also attended.
"Crews arrived to find one vehicle involved in a collision and on all four wheels. The driver and one passenger were out of the vehicle prior to crews’ arrival, but one passenger remained in the vehicle.
"Upon arrival, crews made the car safe and successfully led the passenger out of the vehicle and handed them over to NWAS to be transported to hospital."
Police cordoned off the road as search and rescue crews attended One witness said she saw "10 ambulances" at the scene.
