There are major delays on one Merseyrail line following a "welfare incident" in Wirral.
The travel provider posted on Twitter at 10.56pm on Friday, May 26, to warn passengers services one of the the Wirral lines would have "major disruption". Services on the West Kirby line, which runs through Hoylake, Manor Road, Meols, Moreton, Leasowe, Bidston, Birkenhead North, Birkenhead Park, Conway Park, Hamilton Square and the Liverpool loop line, are "likely" to be cancelled or delayed.
The travel provider confirmed they are responding to a "welfare incident".

A tweet from Merseyrail read: "Due to a welfare incident. Services to and from West Kirby are likely to be delayed with possible cancellations."
The New Brighton, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross lines are not affected.
