Rohan Smith has confirmed that Brad Dwyer's future will lie away from Leeds Rhinos in 2023. The hooker's future has been under the microscope for a number of months, with his existing contract at Headingley set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
He was linked with a move to St Helens earlier this year, but that is not the case, with the Saints not agreeing terms on a contract with Dwyer at any stage. They instead are waiting to see whether or not James Roby signs a new one-year deal, and as such, no deal for Dwyer has been on the table.
With Kruise Leeming set to miss a prolonged period of action due to a stress fracture in his foot, it perhaps left the door ajar for Dwyer to play his way into a new deal with Leeds next season. But Smith confirmed to Rugby League Live that they have not offered Dwyer a deal, meaning he will leave Headingley later this year.

"We haven't made an offer to Brad," Smith confirmed. "I'm not sure what he's doing either, but he's free to do what he wants to do because his contract is expiring."
Dwyer has received expressions of interest from clubs in Super League and the Championship, but it seems any remaining doubt about a new contract with the Rhinos is firmly off the table. The 29-year-old will get an extended run of minutes in the coming weeks with Leeming's absence, however.
Dwyer has been at Leeds since 2018, and has made over 100 Super League appearances for the club. He was part of the Rhinos squad who won the 2020 Challenge Cup under Richard Agar, and has been a popular figure among supporters in his five seasons at Headingley.
But his future beyond this year is now all-but confirmed to be elsewhere, with Smith's admission Leeds have not tabled a deal for the player.
