Charttopper Maisie Peters has revealed the secret to her success - and it is quite literally magic - because she’s a witch.
Maisie, 23, recently went to number one with her song The Good Witch which made her the youngest female British artist in nine years to score a number one album, according to the Official Charts Company.
Maisie revealed she is actually a witch, a good one, but wouldn’t tell us any of her spells at TRNSMT, where she played on the main stage on Saturday.
Following Pulp’s example of throwing out fudge to the crowds at Glasgow Green she said: “I could throw out some magic wands probably that would be good.”
Of her witchery, she added: “I’m a good one and I can’t tell you my best spells or you’ll use them.”
When asked what her good luck charm would be she suggested: “You could take my new album and have a good listen to that.”
Maisie was happy to be on the same bill as Mimi Webb and explained: “I’ve always said hi to Mimi Webb. I love Mimi.
"We’ve written together in the past and she is a star and a legend and I’m looking forward to her set. I’ve not seen the boys yet but am sure I will.
"Everyone is super friendly and everyone always says hi when they see each other but the day is young.”
She added: “I have actually been here for five hours and have played in Scotland in the past and played at shows in Glasgow with Ed Sheeran and we went to Edinburgh earlier this year but I’d love to see more of the highlands.”
“I would like a countrywide retreat but am not sure whether I’ll get a countrywide retreat in the future but I’ll manifest it.”
