Maisie Adam confirmed she got married to Michael Dobinson ahead of playing the Soccer Aid match at Manchester United's Old Trafford on Sunday.
The 29-year-old comedian, who has appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, QI, Have I Got News For You and Would I Lie To You?, said she and Dobinson tied the knot on Saturday ahead of the charity football match.
She played for World XI on Sunday to raise money for the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) alongside teammates comedian Mo Gilligan and Olympian Usain Bolt.
They faced an England side including pundit Gary Neville, actor Tom Hiddleston and singer Tom Grennan in their line-up.
Adam told ITV 1’s Soccer Aid for Unicef: “I’ve watched this as a fan for years and it’s a genuinely an honour to finally be part of it. I’ve been more nervous for this than I was the wedding.”
She also posted on Instagram, sharing an image of her in a white dress alongside Dobinson, whom the comedian announced her engagement to in December 2021.
Katherine Ryan, Suzi Ruffell, Jamie Redknapp, Izzy Christiansen were among the celebrities offering their congratulations.
Ryan wrote: “Cuties in love forever.”
