Maharashtra: No friendly fights in MVA, says Chennithala

Mumbai: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday said that there would be no friendly fights in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and that the party has given equal treatment to all its allies in the Maharashtra elections. 

Addressing a press conference here, Chennithala said: "There will be no friendly fights in the MVA. State leadership will talk to the rebels." 

Rebels file nominations 

Notable, many rebels from Opposition alliance MVA and ruling alliance Mahayuti have filled their nominations for the November 20 elections as Indipendents.

Chennithala on BJP

Chennithala further said that BJP has 'stolen' seats of its Mahayuti allies'. 

"There is misunderstanding between us (but) Mahayuti members are fighting amongst themselves. They are fighting from each other's quotas. BJP leaders are fighting on the symbols of Shiv Sena and NCP," he said.  

The Congress leader added that the grand old party hag given equal treatment to all the alliance partners.

Tuesday was the last for nomination. November 4 is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures. 

Polls on November 20

The state will go to polls on November 20 in one phase while the outcome of 288 seats will be announced on November 23. (With Agency inputs)
