Maharashtra erases month-long rain deficit, nears 'excess' category

Maharashtra IMD Madhya Maharashtra Pune Konkan

PUNE: The showers over the last few days have wiped out over a month-long rain deficiencies in Maharashtra, with all the four sub-divisions entering the normal to excess rainfall categories.

By Monday morning, Konkan-Goa received excess rainfall of 20% (from June 1 till July 10), Madhya Maharashtra 3%, Vidarbha 8% and rain-shadow Marathwada, the highest at 43% above normal rains this season.
