MUMBAI: Counting for elections to the six seats of Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra was delayed on Friday following complaints lodged by the BJP and Shiv Sena accusing each other of violating procedures.
A BJP delegation led by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi called on the chief election commissioner to say that votes cast by Congress’s Yashomati Thakur, NCP’s Jitendra Awhad and Shiv Sena’s Suhas Kande should be cancelled as they had shown their ballot papers to party colleagues.
