MUMBAI: The Bombay high court on Friday directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) fo file an affidavit detailing its measures to meet fire exigencies in Mumbai and enlist Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) it follows.
The civic body must also inform how many fire stations are there, the staff deployed and response time by authorities after the fire breaks out said the HC division bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Arif Doctor on Friday while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) on fire safety.
