Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced an infrastructure project and an agricultural loan scheme, while also discussing the state’s security priorities.
According to the CM, a ₹27,000 crore agreement has been signed to build the Maharashtra Shipyard across three ports.
He said the facility would be the nation’s largest shipyard for shipbuilding and ship repair.
The project is expected to generate 15,000 direct jobs and 75,000 indirect jobs, Fadnavis said.
The CM also highlighted that 40% of India’s shipbuilding would take place at the shipyard. He added that the project would begin after all necessary permissions are obtained.
Fadnavis also announced a ₹7.5 lakh crore loan scheme for sugar factories in the state and said it would also benefit farmers.

He added that the government would pay the interest on the loans and said Maharashtra would rank number one in FRP payments.
On Jarange Patil, the CM said his application had not been rejected. He emphasised that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the police.
Fadnavis said the Ganesh festival in Mumbai and Pune is the biggest among Hindu festivals and can afford no disruptions.
