Michael Maguire insists he isn't feeling the heat of three straight losses to start the NRL season, even seeing the funny side of the latest dramas at Wests Tigers.
Calls for the premiership-winning coach's immediate removal have come this week after a scrappy 16-12 loss to the Warriors.
Reports of a rift with club great and game-day trainer Robbie Farah then followed, the pair forced to answer to accusations Farah had launched a verbal spray the coach's way during the game.
Maguire was in a placid mood ahead of Thursday's trip to play Gold Coast though, happy to address questions of his own future and the Farah incident.
"I laughed, I literally laughed when I heard that," he said.
"We're in the entertainment business, so people can look at that in their own light.
"We know internally what we're working towards, Robbie's very passionate about who we are ... he's been a really good force behind what we're trying to achieve."
Calls have come for Tigers football boss and coaching pillar Tim Sheens to immediately replace Maguire at the helm.
But the coach said even another loss on Thursday to the Titans (1-2) wouldn't leave him fearing for his job.
"I'm that busy coaching my team I don't spend too much time worrying about the external world and I've got a great family to go home to and that's what really matters the most," he said.
"We were pretty close in two of three games; a few things go our way, which we need to create, then all of a sudden we're talking about something different.
"We're actually not that far away from where we need to be."
The Titans have their own questions to answer after coughing up a 22-0 lead to lose for the second time in two seasons in the last round.
The loss to Canberra followed a two-point defeat of the Warriors and four-point loss to Parramatta.
Fullback Jamayne Isaako will replace Jayden Campbell (ribs) barely a week after his arrival from Brisbane, while winger Corey Thompson is back from a broken hand to play his former club for the first time.
Centre James Roberts (quad), winger Ken Maumalo (ankle) and back-rower Kelma Tuilagi (head knock) all return, while Zane Musgrove will start in place of Stefano Utoikamanu (ankle) for the NRL's only winless team.
