Magnitude 5.9 earthquake strikes Flores region in Indonesia

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck Indonesia’s Flores region on Thursday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. Reuters reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres. The tremor comes days after a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck off Flores, killing dozens and causing widespread damage in the region.
