Despite Jalen Suggs’ first double-double, the Orlando Magic were dominated by the league-best Phoenix Suns for the second consecutive loss of their four-game West Coast road trip.
Suggs finished with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting, a career-high 10 assists and six rebounds, but the Magic fell to the Suns, 132-105.
Suggs, the No. 5 pick in last year’s draft, did most of his scoring damage near the basket, with six of his seven baskets coming in the paint.
The Magic had six players score in double-figures.
Phoenix, which led by as many as 27, was led by Devin Booker’s 26 points (16 in the third), five rebounds and five assists and Chris Paul’s 10 points, 15 assists and five rebounds.
The Suns (46-10) had 68 points in the paint compared to the Magic’s 38 and scored 23 points off Orlando’s 14 turnovers.
The Magic (13-45) will end their West Coast road trip with a matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
