A Donald Trump supporter said he travelled nine hours to attend the US president's rally in San Antonio, Texas, and camped outside the venue from Monday night. Asked why he had made the journey, he said: 'I just love Trump, that's why I came this week. I didn't have nothing better to do anyway.'

Trump appeared at Freeman Coliseum on 7 October alongside Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton and congressional candidate Carlos De La Cruz, as Republicans sought to defend their congressional majorities ahead of the November midterm elections.
