MAFS UK set for ‘most explosive series yet’ with ‘wife swapping and massive rows'

Married at First Sight UK fans can delight as the new season is set to be the 'most dramatic yet' when it air later this year.

MAFS UK is known for its tumultuous relationships and explosive arguments during dinner parties, but viewers can expect the biggest drama yet. A TV insider claims that things between the group get so heated that one groom had to be removed from the show following an altercation.

“This season of MAFS UK has just finished filming and it is very explosive. [There’s] wife swapping, massive rows and even a physical altercation between two of the grooms. One of them was even removed from the show,” the insider told OK! Magazine.

Wife-swapping is nothing new for MAFS UK fans after Whitney Hughes sensationally left her husband Duka Cavolli, for fellow groom Matt Murray who was married to Gemma Barnes. The drama continued into the reunion during last years series as Whitney, Matt and Gemma all declined to take part in the one-off Christmas special.

The source added to OK! that: “Since filming ended, the cast’s WhatsApp group chat has blown up. The two grooms are going head-to-head and are planning a boxing fight between them.

“The reunion is due to be filmed in July and at this rate it will be explosive.”

Explaining why the upcoming season is especially dramatic, the source added: "This year has a younger cast, which has resulted in loads of drama.”

According to The Sun, reality star Nathanial Valentino is said to be a groom on the upcoming series. Nathanial has appeared on Geordie Shore: Hot Single Summer and Young Free and Single in the past.

The insider who told The Sun said: “Nathanial will make great telly. He is really good looking and has a history with reality TV so he knows how to cause drama and get people talking.”

Speaking about the return of the series, sex, and relationship therapist Charlene previously said: “I love being a part of the show as I love helping people. A lot of time, work, and effort goes on behind the scenes to ensure we are making strong matches.

“We truly want to help people find what they’re looking for. Our couples apply to be on Married at First Sight UK because conventional dating hasn’t worked for them.

“They come to the experts ready to try a new way to meet someone. I don’t think they’re always prepared for the work that they’ll have to do on themselves. Nothing gets past Paul, Mel or I.”

Married At First Sight Australia is now available to watch on catchup on E4/Channel 4.
