Married At First Sight UK might have almost run its course on E4, but the drama between the cast doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon.
After the action-packed reunion episode aired on Monday night, four contestants took to Instagram live to dish all the dirt as fans couldn't wait to hear more juicy details. Chanita Stephenson, Sophie Brown, Duka Cav and Adrian Sanderson took part in a Q&A session as fans waited for the contestants to spill the tea, reports OK! Magazine.
One question in particular got their attention, as Chanita read out: "Have there been any more couple swaps since the show?" And while she quickly answered by saying "no," there was some giggling in the group before Chanita, 29, quipped: "Adrian, who are you swapping with?"
Adrian, 37, then clarified: "I think that there has been [couple swaps]... There has been." A shocked Chanita replied: "Who? You can't just say that."
Adrian then said: "I thought it was common knowledge so I'm now confused and you're confused or are you all pretending you don't know what I know?"
When Chanita asked if it involved anyone on the Live, Adrian replied: "I'm not giving anything away. I didn't know I was the only one who had the tea!"
"Maybe it's not true, I didn't get it from the horse's mouth but this horse is in reverse," Adrian said, appearing to backtrack before he asserted: "There was two that did."
This year's series of MAFS UK has delivered on the drama front, and one of the most explosive twists came as Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes hooked up, despite initially being paired with other partners. The rest of the group were furious when they were allowed to stay in the experiment and stunned when, after just a week of dating, the duo insisted they were in love.
In last night's penultimate episode of the series, Matt and Whitney revealed that – like all but two of the MAFS UK 2022 couples – they have now split up. While the dinner party got off to an amicable start, the pairs soon turned up the heat and it wasn't long before shouting matches took place at the table.
One of the most explosive moments came as Matt waded into a discussion between Sophie and her husband Jonathan. When Matt suggested Sophie was "fake", Gemma shouted at her ex and claimed he had also called Sophie a "b*tch".
Things then got even more confrontational as Sophie challenged him. Defending himself, Matt said: "The words 'fake b***h' is not my terminology," as Sophie replied: "What did you say then?"
The drama continues into tonight's final episode as resident hotheads Matt, Whitney and Thomas Hartley appear to look upset in the teaser for the programme, as Matt admits his behaviour was “unacceptable”.
Meanwhile, it seems as though the experts will attempt to reunite Jordan and Chanita – and there’s a possibility that they haven’t given up on each other either.
The one-time golden couple's split came as a huge shock to the other MAFS contestants, experts and viewers on Monday night. Explaining why she and Jordan called time on their relationship, Chanita said: “When we came out of the experiment, everything just changed.
"Basically, I kept saying ‘I feel like you’re not interested in me, you’re not making an effort, you’re not doing this’, and he’s all, ‘no, no, no, I can’t wait to see you’ – and then I was right. And then he was like, ‘oh, I don’t think we’re compatible, I don’t want to be with you,' it was really weird,” she continued.
The Married at First Sight finale will air tonight on E4 at 9pm.
