Married At First Sight’s Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have seemingly confirmed speculation that they have ended their relationship after falling in love on this year’s season of the reality show.
The couple, who got engaged at Final Vows and were the only season 13 couple to stay together after filming wrapped, recently sparked breakup rumours after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram just a few weeks before their one-year anniversary.
Insiders have since told Daily Mail that the pair ended their relationship several weeks ago and are “no longer on speaking terms”.
“It was ultimately Filip who decided to end things. He’d been wrestling with it for a while and eventually realised they just weren’t on the same page about what they wanted out of life,” a source told the publication.
“There wasn’t some huge explosive fight. It was more of a slow realisation that they were heading in different directions.”
Why did MAFS Stella and Filip break up?
The insider claimed that money was a huge factor in their breakup, as Stella “wanted someone who could really support her financially” and didn’t feel that Filip was able to do that.
Distance has also been cited as a factor, as the couple were reportedly living “quite separate lives” with Filip based in Melbourne for work and Stella living in Sydney.
The couple were last photographed together in May, although they featured on each other’s Instagram profiles earlier this month. The couple also launched a podcast together titled Love, Life and Lie Detectors with communications specialist Scott Taylor in May, posting just four episodes before going on hiatus at the end of June.

Stella speaks out after split rumours
Following reports of their split on Monday, Stella took to Instagram to share a selfie alongside a lengthy caption that seemingly confirmed the breakup rumours.
“It would be easy to tell this story by deciding who was right and who was wrong. To point fingers. To protect my ego. To pretend I was perfect. But no. I’m not here for that,” she wrote.
She went on to admit that she “made mistakes” and has “regrets”, and she’s spent the past week taking a “deep, honest look” within herself.
“Without this experience, I probably would have continued believing that my urgency, my directness, my need to know, and my constant drive forward were simply signs of ambition. That they were motivation. That they were strengths,” she continued.
“And in many ways, they are. They’ve helped me build a life I’m incredibly proud of. But this relationship quietly revealed something I couldn’t see before. Sometimes, sitting quietly beside that ambition… was fear. Fear of uncertainty. Fear of falling behind. Fear that the future I dreamed of might somehow slip through my fingers.”
Stella hinted that “the people we love don’t always experience our intention” when fear takes control, and they can instead experience “pressure” and “control”.
“Love isn’t only about having a good heart. It’s about the impact we leave on the heart standing opposite ours,” she concluded. “That is a lesson I’ll carry with me out.”
Filip shares cryptic IG post
Meanwhile, Filip shared a gallery of photos of himself travelling, at work, at the gym and with friends and family alongside a cryptic caption about needing “balance” in his life.
“You can literally have all these tabs open and still show up consistently. Work. Health. Family. Relationships. Purpose. Service. Building something meaningful. Enjoying the smaller moments,” he wrote. “Balance doesn’t mean every area gets equal attention every day. It means nothing important gets neglected for too long.”
Filip ended the caption saying that “the goal” is “a life you don’t need a holiday from”. The comments section was quickly flooded with messages from fans speculating that the post was his way of addressing the breakup rumours, and many said they hoped the couple would reunite soon.
“Hope you and Stella have time apart and end up back together, as I feel what you had was strong and worth fighting for,” one person wrote, while another added, “Sad to see it didn’t work out for you two. You’ll find someone, keep the faith”.
The personal trainer has yet to respond to the comments from his followers, although he did tell PEDESTRIAN.TV that he wishes her “all the best in the future”.
Stella and Filip’s rumoured split comes just over a month after 2025 MAFS couple Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels announced their breakup, which leaves just four couples still together across the show’s 13 seasons.
