They may have found love on Married At First Sight (MAFS), but it looks like Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite’s relationship is also opening doors behind the scenes at Channel 9.
Insiders have told PEDESTRIAN.TV that the couple, who have been spotted numerous times since filming wrapped, have already been invited back to work with the network. This time, they’re filming a promotional segment for the hit quiz show The Floor, as season two will air directly after MAFS.
Sources said the pair went head-to-head in a playful “duel” challenge where they competed against each other in a quick-fire trivia battle designed to promote the series.
“It’s basically a fun quiz showdown between the two of them,” a production insider revealed. “Filip versus Stella and the competitive energy between them made it great television.”
The mini challenges are being filmed as part of a wider promotional campaign for The Floor, which has quietly been expanding behind the scenes.
According to industry insiders, seasons two and three of the game show have already been filmed back-to-back, with Channel 9 now creating extra promotional content featuring familiar faces from across the network.
“They’re bringing in reality TV personalities and well-known Nine stars to film these duels. It’s a clever way to cross-promote the show,” the source explained. And it seems Filip and Stella topped the list.
Channel 9’s new golden couple
Following their whirlwind romance, the pair has quickly become one of the breakout success stories from this year’s season of MAFS.
“Channel 9 loves celebrating couples that genuinely work out. When relationships come out of the show strong, the network likes to keep them in the family,” the source said.
The strategy has worked before, with fan favourites Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels becoming regulars at network events and promotional campaigns after their own successful run on the show.
“Filip and Stella are getting that same kind of support,” they continued. “There’s a lot of interest in them as a couple.”
While The Floor duel was only filmed as a promotional segment, insiders have said it could be the first of many opportunities for the pair.
“The network knows viewers love them, so don’t be surprised if we see Filip and Stella popping up in more projects across the network,” the insider teased.
