MAFS Fans Surprisingly Side With Scott After Gia Ditches The Experiment During Feedback Week

Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) Feedback Week has been quite the doozy for controversial bride Gia Fleur. However, it looks like Tuesday night’s task has pushed her to the breaking point.

This article contains Married At First Sight spoilers. You can choose to stay or leave.

There is no doubt that the 35-year-old disability support worker has been at the centre of every single drama in this year’s round of MAFS. From Brook Crompton‘s dinner party to Joel Moses and Juliette Fava‘s wedding to the Bec Zacharia text screenshots, Gia seems to have all her fingers in the drama pies.

In this week’s shebang, Gia refused to participate in a couple’s swap lunch, fearing she’d get feedback from either Bec or her reality TV hubby, Danny Hewitt — which she predicted right, because Danny was stood TF up.

On Tuesday night, an anonymous letter jam-packed with feedback on her and Scott McCristal‘s reality TV union has set her off the edge and has seemingly caused her to ditch the experiment.

You see, couples were tasked with writing up anonymous letters with feedback for their peers. Naturally, with feedback being feedback, there’s bound to be some constructive criticism.

As for Gia and Scott’s anonymous letter, things started great, with the unnamed writer praising the pair for the physical connection. However, criticism over Gia’s behaviour and involvement with group chats and drama might have “dimmed their shine”.

“Has the shine of your relationship been[sic] dimmed by external distractions?” the letter questioned.

“Our suggestion is that Gia, fully remove yourself from group chats or the gossip and so-called drama and focus on your relationship.”

Things reached boiling point when the anonymous writer challenged the couple to abstain from physical intimacy for ten days, to which the duo disagreed.

Reflecting on the letter, Scott admitted that he agreed with the “detox”. In response, Gia scoffed at the suggestion, claiming they’ve already stepped back from all the fights before she ripped the letter up.

In a confessional, Scotty expressed that Gia’s inability to digest criticisms is affecting their marriage.

“She has no interest in what anyone has to say,” Scott began.

“I feel backed off. I feel like I can’t really talk much, and yeah, it does suck. I should be able to speak my feelings and show her that.”

Later on in the episode, Scott revealed that Gia wanted to leave the experiment following the difficulties of Feedback Week. As the pair made their escape from Skye Suites, Alissa Fay spotted the duo leaving with their bags.

After Alissa cracked the code that Gia and Scott wrote their letter — which she claimed was low effort — the fellow bride called Gia and Scott’s escape a massive “cop out” from the experiment.

Fans react to Gia’s attitude towards Married At First Sight‘s Feedback Week

Some viewers reckon Gia’s switch-up in her attitude towards MAFS revealed how she truly felt about her marriage to Scott. Other fans also expressed that they felt bad for Scott during the task as he was unable to speak his mind about the feedback they recieved.

As for her leaving stunt, many fans were happy to see Gia hit the road, while others admitted they were sad to see Scott go.

While I am a sucker for reality TV beef, I totally agree that Gia is kinda invested in the drama more than her marriage on the show. That being said, I reckon she would’ve been the perfect candidate for Baddies Australia Edition or even Big Brother, so she could stir the damn pot!

But anyways, Gia and Scott are unfortunately no longer together, with the MAFS groom recently commenting on her new romance
