Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 groom David Momoh has revealed whether or not he would return to reality TV after failing to find love on this year’s season.
In this year’s shebang, David was matched with South Australian nurse Alissa Fay. While the start of their journey was smooth sailing — with Alissa unfortunately being bullied by her fellow brides — the pair’s relationship took a nose-dive after Homestays.
Following a brutal Final Commitment Ceremony, where Alissa claimed she was “blindsided” by David, a confronting Final Test, and an explosive Final Dinner Party, the pair unfortunately called it quits at Final Vows, with 31-year-old groom coldly walking away from Alissa before she could read her vows.

At the Reunion Dinner Party, David stood by his decision to walk away, even telling producers that he regrets “not sprinting” after reading his Vows. Naturally, the stunt resulted in him walking into a landmine of questions from his fellow participants (and ex-wife) on why he pulled the harsh move.
Responding to Alissa’s questions, who described the walkout as a sign of “disrespect” and that he “spat on [her] face”, David said it was “something [he] needed to do” because he felt like he hadn’t been heard during the entire experiment.
After labelling him a “coward” and a “little boy because [he] couldn’t face the music”, David dropped a mic-drop quote.
“I think I faced the music the whole relationship, so when it got to Final Vows, I gotta turn the music off, and that’s what I did,” David responded.
Unfortunately for Alissa, who vocalised her hurt, Australia rallied around David and his decision to leave her at the altar at Final Vows.
Will David Momoh join another reality TV show after Married At First Sight ?
Reflecting on his time on MAFS, David admitted that he hasn’t “considered doing another show” following his tumultuous journey. However, “he isn’t counting it out”.
“I think one was enough for me. I’m not counting it out. But also, I’m not really looking at applying or getting into any at this point in time,” David told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
However, if he were to pick between The Bachelor or Love Island, David would rather be in the mansion than the villa, despite the “pressure” that comes with being a Bachie.

“The Bachelor, I feel like there’s so much pressure on you,” he began.
“All these girls and then you have to pick one which potentially hurts some people, which isn’t nice. But Love Island, it seems like it’s kind of rogue, and you’re just out here, making out with everyone on national television and stuff. I wouldn’t want my parents seeing that. So I guess The Bachelor, if I had to.”
As for Alissa, the “bubbly” bride has since hard-launched her new boyfriend, Australian Ninja Warrior Nathan Ryles.
Honestly, if I’d like to see anyone return to reality TV from this batch, it would definitely be David, alongside Rebecca Zukowski, Joel Moses and Rachel Gilmore — because she deserves the world!
