Married At First Sight Australia has already got the nation hooked, having sparked drama from the very first few episodes, from explosive dinner parties to cheating scandals, alter blunders and everywhere in between.
Although the newlyweds have new bonds and romance to look forward to, they should also be excited about post-MAFS life and what it has to offer, with many going on to secure successful business deals and climb the ranks from their stints on the Channel 4 reality show.
In the past couple of years, contestants have left the experiment to be welcomed with some major opportunities. From business partnerships to sponsorships, there is no doubt that this year's contestants will be set for life.
However, when it comes to their social media presence, which of the newlyweds is most likely to be the top earner?
Buzz Bingo has taken a deep dive into the contestants’ projected earnings. The data took into consideration the estimated revenue per post on Instagram as well as projected earnings per year.
In first place is Melinda, who already had a decent following before participating in the show. It’s projected that the 32-year-old could earn a minimum of £1,684 per Instagram post and a minimum of £614,660 per year.
Aside from her beauty brand ‘Feather Sisters’ earnings, Melinda won’t have to worry about cash post-experiment.
Beauty Influencer Janelle comes in second place. The 28-year-old is already pretty well known on TikTok, with a following of 536k, so we are sure that her Instagram page, which is currently sat at 58.7k, will catch up in no time.
Janelle is projected to earn a minimum of £430 per Instagram post and a minimum of £156,950 a year.
We saw Claire tie the knot with Jesse, who quickly got the ‘ick’ from Claire’s interest in all things spirituality, but it was Claire's cheating scandal which put the couple in the spotlight recently.
The 31-year-old is the third-place top earner, with a projected minimum earning of £354 per Instagram post and could be raking in a total £129,210 a year - not a bad salary top-up for a nursery teacher.
Most of the contestants are set to have a stable stream of income from social media, however some of the names that fall short on the list are Adam, who we saw tie the knot with Janelle and the pair almost instantly fell into a disagreement over what his current career is and how much he earns.
Adam could earn a minimum of £123 per post and £44,000 per year, with it likely also being reflected due to the cheating scandal he was involved in with Claire. None of the brides or grooms got up to bid him farewell following his exit earlier this week.
Overall, between the top 10 contestants, they are set to earn a total of at least £2,052,345 just from their Instagram presences alone.
Previous seasons have seen contestants like Martha Kalifatidis earn almost £2,000,000 from her Instagram presence alone, landing partnerships with dream brands like Olay and Pretty Little Thing.
*Figures were calculated before newlyweds Rupert and Evelyn, and Hugo and Tayla entered the show. Evelyn is suspected to come in second at £426,320 estimated earnings per year whilst the others didn't make the rankings.
