Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Alissa Fay has opened up on whether or not she copped a bad edit, revealing that she’s “okay” with what was shown in the final cut.
MAFS was quite the doozy for Alissa. At the start of the experiment, she and her reality TV hubby, David Momoh, appeared to be one of the strongest couples, despite the multiple dramas the 33-year-old nurse was dragged into. However, towards the end of the experiment, cracks began to show in their marriage, leading to David leaving Alissa alone at the altar at Final Vows.
With the sudden switch in their relationship — which went downhill following a rocky Homestays, confronting Final Commitment Couch ceremony, heartbreaking Final Test and explosive Final Dinner Party — some fans speculated that Alissa was handed both the good and bad edit.

Reflecting on what was shown in the final edit, Alissa admitted that she “was a shell of a human” at the start of the season due to the bullying she copped from fellow brides Brook Crompton, Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia.
“I’m still dealing with that trauma. But what you did see is a woman crying out in her relationship and unhappy in her relationship,” Alissa told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
Ultimately, Alissa said she was “okay” with what was shown, noting that all her “bad moments” were shown and acknowledging that she understands that MAFS is a reality TV show at the end of the day.

“They’re all my bad moments that they’ve cut together in the end, and that’s okay,” she continued.
“We’ve got to remember, they’re making a TV show. They want you to spiral. They want drama. They want good TV.”
Alissa went on to add that the ending of her MAFS journey was “all my bad moments cut up and put together at one time and not spread out over the whole experiment”.
“I don’t think it’s a bad edit. It’s not because there were, there were other moments in there,” Alissa shared.

What does David Momoh think of Alissa Fay’s Married At First Sight edit?
As for her reality TV husband, David agreed that the bullying earlier in the season resulted in Alissa’s personality being “dimmed most of the experiment”.
“All I’ll say is when the bullying died down, I feel like she was probably more able to look at our relationship and express herself,” David told P.TV before adding that he felt like he had been “muted” on the show.
“Half of my personality was taken out of the show for some reason, so you’ll barely see all the jokes I made, or me talking to her, or us having fun,” he dished.
While we know they don’t make it in the end, I wish we did get to see more of their relationship as I was rooting SO HARD for them. Hopefully Alissa jumps on an IG live or podcast ASAP so we can understand the rapid demise of their relationship in the final week.
