Alongside its explosive dinner parties and wild confessional moments, Married At First Sight (MAFS) is also notorious for its cheeky editing fails that have been clocked by eagle-eyed fans. This time around, a 2026 bride spotted a botched edit from her wedding that left her “howling”.
In case you’ve been offline, MAFS is officially back for another round of reality TV anarchy. And with that chaos comes some cooked editing moments.
After all, what is reality TV without the dramatic strings, flashbacks and zoom-ins, amirite?
However, sometimes those naughty, naughty edits get picked up by those who are watching on OR even the people who were starring in the scene.
In this year’s shebang, newly-minted MAFS bride Rachel Gilmore pointed out a botched editing moment that happened during her wedding, which was literally episode one of 2026.

In her wedding, where she was revealed to be matched with marine tech Steven Danyluk, we were shown how giggly she gets when she’s nervous. It even got to a point where the celebrant was unable to continue with the ceremony because the bride kept laughing. And honestly? Same.
Married At First Sight 2026’s Rachel Gilmore calls out editing fail
While it’s quite obvious that Rachel’s infectious giggles were cut together to emphasise the impact of her laugh, the bride wanted folks to focus on her bouquet.
In a mammoth tea spill to PEDESTRIAN.TV, the Victoria-based bride pointed out that during the laughing sequence, there were moments she was holding her flowers and moments where she wasn’t.
“The laughing was a lot. I’ll be real,” she admitted to P.TV. “It was very clear it was from different parts, because my flowers are there.”
But despite the obvious editing, Rachel said she and her guests were “howling” at her laughing montage.
“We were dying, we thought it was so good,” she continued. “We were just howling. We thought it was so funny. You can’t get mad, you know? I’d rather be laughing than crying.”

Again, this isn’t the first time MAFS has been caught out with a cheeky editing fail. In 2025, Love Island Australia star Erin Alysha pointed out an editing mishap during a tense scene between Eliot Donovan and Lauren Hall.
During their honeymoon, the pair clashed over their non-negotiables. However, throughout the whole conversation, Eliot’s beer glass fluctuated between full, half and empty.
While I don’t wanna shit on the editing process too much (‘cos I’ve definitely been there and done that with errors), you’d think the baddies at MAFS would’ve learned after years upon years of fans pointing out editing fails.
But hey, it is what it is, and I can’t imagine the bloody deadlines these folks have in order to birth reality TV gold.
