Madonna has postponed her upcoming tour dates, after the music icon was left in intensive care fighting a serious bacterial infection.
After a lot of speculation, Madonna announced her Celebration shows last year, with her UK fans delighted that the schedule included four nights at London's iconic O2 Arena. The tour was set to launch in Canada next month but that will no longer happen, after it was revealed on Wednesday evening that the singer who's given the world classics like Vogue, Like A Prayer and Music, has been in hospital.
Sharing the extent of her illness, On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU.

"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."
Addressing when fans can expect an update on the tour, the statement added: "We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
News of Madonna being in intensive care became an immediate talking point online, as fans rushed to send their support. One fan tweeted: "Madonna, you got this!!" with another responding: "I'm sending prayers up for Madonna"
