KARAM DAM (DHAR): Barely 12 hours after water from Karam dam in Dhar district flooded evacuated villages and drained into Narmada river 75km away, thousands of residents who were put up in relief camps and temporary tents on the heights trickled down to examine the damage it has caused to their crops on Monday.
TOI was there when despite the hardships, Independence Day spirit remained alive in this region, around 60km from Indore, as many newly-elected panchs unfurled the Tiranga at community halls and schools, albeit with thin attendance.
