Madhya Pradesh: 3 killed as car collides with tree

BHOPAL: Three people, including two women were killed after the car they were travelling in collided with a tree in Anuppur district on Sunday morning. The accident was so fierce that the car broke down in two pieces. The incident took place on Amarkantak main road near Karondi square around 9 am.

Deceased have been identified as Varsha Shrivastav, 19, Subodh Shrivastav, 24, and Manisha Singh, 24, all residents of Anuppur district. Besides the deceased, two others Divyanshu Shrivastav, 22, and Saurabh Sharma, 22, have sustained injuries and are admitted at district hospital. Sources said that the car was registered in the name of Kalyani Sharma a resident of Anuppur who is sister of injured Saurabh Sharma. It was Saurabh who was driving the car as all the five were going to Amarkantak.
