Three-year-old Madeleine vanished from the family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal on May 3, 2007, and this case throws a fresh spotlight on the McCann family – parents Kate and Gerry, and twins Amelie and Sean, a champion freestyle swimmer, who is being tipped to compete in the next Olympics.
