Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing rushed to hospital as he's allergic to new puppy

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing was rushed to hospital suffering with breathlessness over Christmas, before realising he is sadly very allergic to his new puppy.

His fiancée Sophie Habboo returned to her Instagram Stories to reveal Jamie had to get steroid treatment as his 'asthma was out of control'.

The couple say they have been 'quite stressed' by the unfortuntate health scare.

Jamie only recently gifted his fiancée the adopted long-haired Dachshund after weeks of her 'nagging' for a pet.

Sophie has been absent from social media for a few days and explained the reasoning to her followers.

"Sorry for the MIA on Instagram, had the most wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did as well," she wrote over a video of her and the dog.

"But Jamie has been in hospital for steroids as it turns out he's allergic to the pup and his asthma has been out of control.

"So as you can imagine, I've been quite stressed for them. Going to the doctor tomorrow, so we will keep you all updated. But sending everyone all my love."

Jamie and Sophie only adopted the dog last week and he shared the news on social media.

He wrote: "Welcome to the family Little Bobbie. I've said no to a dog for a long time but finally had to give in to Sophie's constant nagging.

"It's peeing everywhere, pooping all over the place, she doesn't know her name and ignores me, she sleeps all day and is awake during the night, wants to cuddle Sophie and not me but somehow I still find her pretty damn irresistible… Plus I get to choose her second name which probably was a big mistake, any ideas?"

Jamie hasn't had the best luck in the last few months as, in September, he narrowly escaped carbon monoxide poisoning.

He warned fans to check their alarms as his whole apartment building was full of deadly gas.

The star said he was woken up at 6am by the alarm beeping, but that he was grateful for it as it "could have been a very different story."

"Guys it's 6am and my carbon monoxide alarm is beeping, so I googled it and they told me to call the Gas Emergency, never had to phone them before, and I was also told to open a window," he explained to fans.

He then pointed at the ceiling and said: "You hear that? It's carbon monoxide".
