MIC's Binky Felstead shares major health update during pregnancy with third child

Pregnant Binky Felstead has shared an update over her health this week, revealing that she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes whilst in her third trimester.

The reality TV star, 32, is expecting her third child. She and her husband Max Darnton, also 32, are already parents to son Wolfie, one, whilst Binky also has a daughter India, five, from her romance with ex Josh 'JP' Patterson.

Earlier this month, Binky - best known for having been a cast member on Made in Chelsea - revealed on Instagram that she was into the third trimester of her pregnancy.

She has since taken to the platform to share an update with her followers, telling them in a post yesterday that she has just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth, as stated on the NHS website.

It notes that it can cause problems during the pregnancy and afterwards, though assures "the risks can be reduced if the condition is detected early and well managed."

Binky announced she had been diagnosed with the condition in a post yesterday, which included a selfie of her showcasing her growing bump whilst lying in bed.

She wrote: "So it's been confirmed I am officially a 'GD Mum' as my friend who's also got Gestational Diabetes called it on the phone today after calling her immediatelly after finding out, asking her what the hell this all means!"

Binky said that her friend started the conversation by telling her that it isn't her "fault" and that she shouldn't blame herself as she hasn't "done anything wrong" to cause it.

She said: "[It] was actually the first thing I didn't realise I needed to hear! Now, I cannot go into detail what any of this means really yet ... as I'm still finding out all this myself, but all I know is that it is apparently pretty common.

"Seeing I've had two pretty straightforward, healthy pregnancies already - it just goes to show how different each one is and how important it is to check these things."

"As I haven't felt anything really other than pure exhaustion that I just assumed was from having two children already.. one of which is a typical hectic toddler boy," she added.

She told her followers on the platform that she has an appointment scheduled for next week with a referral doctor to go through "everything in more depth".

"[I will] hopefully gain a lot more knowledge of what I can do to help me and baby these next few weeks until he's out," the reality TV star further commented in the post.

She continued: "Gosh it's never ending is it ... anyone who is also a 'GD mummy' please let me know how you're coping and please give me food ideas."

Binky said she is "really going to miss" pizza and curry nights, as well as chocolate buttons. She however added that her friend is said to have got into a "manageable routine".

She further commented in the recent post: "[My friend is] actually feeling a load better from changing her diet and just making it slightly healthier. So fingers crossed."

And she took to the opportunity to thanks fans for having reached out to her when she previously posted about having a glucose blood test appointment earlier in the week.

This morning, she said in separate post: "Learning a lot. Thank you so much to everyone sending me messages. Cannot tell you how grateful I am to hear your experiences/how you managed! I'm on this".
