French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will visit the French North Atlantic territory of Saint-Pierre-and-Miquelon next week, in a symbolic show of support for national sovereignty amid renewed territorial claims by US President Donald Trump.
Carney will join Macron in the archipelago on 20 September during a three-day presidential visit running from 19 to 21 September, the Élysée Palace announced on Sunday.
