The rapper's new Free Palestine shows reportedly sold out within hours, despite the other performers not yet being announced.

Macklemore reportedly sold out three newly announced concerts within hours of tickets going on sale, just weeks after his removal from Ed Sheeran's tour.

The Free Palestine shows are scheduled for Dublin on 26 October, Paris on 29 October and London on 30 October, with the other performers yet to be announced.

The reported ticket demand came shortly after Macklemore was removed from the US leg of Sheeran's Loop Tour following his pro-Palestinian remarks during a 4 September concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The timing has also prompted some online users to question whether the shows represent a continuation of Macklemore's activism, while others have questioned the timing of the announcement. Those interpretations remain speculative.

Macklemore has publicly described the concerts as fundraising events and an example of collective action, while any claims about an additional motive remain unverified.

Macklemore's New Shows Sell Out Without a Revealed Line-up

The Blast reported that Macklemore's three newly announced concerts sold out within hours. The shows are scheduled for 3Arena in Dublin, Accor Arena in Paris and OVO Arena Wembley in London.

The concerts are being staged as fundraising events, with all proceeds going to organisations providing humanitarian, medical and other support to Palestinians.

The concerts will feature other artists and friends, although the additional performers have yet to be announced.

The reported sell-out came before audiences knew which other musicians would appear alongside Macklemore.

The response also prompted calls for additional dates, with some supporters urging the rapper to take the shows to other cities.

Macklemore said he was 'honestly blown away' by the response in an Instagram post.

Why Was Macklemore Removed From Ed Sheeran's Tour?

The sudden demand for Macklemore's new concerts came after a major change to his touring plans.

Macklemore had been scheduled to perform at eight of Sheeran's remaining US shows before he was removed from the tour after venue owners refused to host him, according to tour promoter Messina Touring Group.

The decision followed Macklemore's pro-Palestinian remarks during a 4 September concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Sheeran later said the decision was made by the promoter rather than by him. He also said he wanted his concerts to remain spaces for unity rather than political debate.

The fallout continued when opening acts Finneas, Lukas Graham and Aaron Rowe withdrew from the remaining dates, while Sheeran's backing band Beoga also left the tour.

The dispute prompted further discussion over Macklemore's political statements and the role of political expression during major music events.

Macklemore Says the Shows Are About Action

Macklemore has presented the concerts as a way to raise funds and demonstrate collective action.

The rapper said the events were organised quickly and 'in community', while promoting the concerts as fundraising shows supporting Palestinians.

'When those in power try to silence our calls for liberation, art will always be a form of resistance,' Macklemore wrote in an Instagram post.

The concerts have been announced as part of a wider series, with additional dates, including US shows, expected to be announced.

The reported sell-out also came before the additional performers were revealed, making the ticket response notable given the limited information initially available about the line-up.

Are Some Fans Questioning the Timing of Macklemore's Shows?

The timing of the concerts has also drawn attention following the Sheeran controversy.

The Blast reported differing reactions online, with some users supporting Macklemore while others questioned the timing of the announcement.

One online commenter questioned whether the move was 'performative or consistent', according to The Blast.

Other users appeared to welcome the reported sell-out and called for Macklemore to add more dates in other cities.

However, those interpretations remain speculative.

Macklemore has publicly framed the concerts around fundraising and collective action, while claims about any additional motive have not been established.

For now, the three European shows were reported to have sold out within hours, while the additional performers have yet to be revealed.
