- Promoter Messina Touring Group removed Macklemore after venue owners, led by Kraft Group CEO Robert Kraft, threatened to cancel concert dates if the rapper performed.
- Within 48 hours of the “Hind’s Hall” singer being dropped for his “Free Palestine ” comments on stage, supporting acts Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe, and Sheeran’s touring band Beoga subsequently withdrew from the tour in solidarity with Macklemore and Palestine.
- In a statement of his own on Tuesday, Sheeran maintained that the decision to remove Macklemore had come from Messina Touring Group, the promoter of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s tour.
