The board of Macfarlane Group has announced the appointment of Laura Whyte as a non-executive director, with effect from 1 October.
She has also been appointed as chair of the packaging company's remuneration committee, succeeding Aleen Gulvanessian, who will become overall chair on at the start of next month.
Whyte had a long career at John Lewis, serving on the management board for more than 10 years, latterly as HR director. She led several business initiatives in support of retailing, with a particular focus on the customer experience.
