Macaulay Langstaff has made National League history by becoming the first player to win back-to-back Player of the Month awards following his excellent form for Notts County this season.
The 25-year-old scored six times in four games during September, including a first professional hat-trick against Dagenham and Redbridge, becoming an integral part in firing the Magpies to the summit of the league table.
When a new striker arrives, there is always one rule fans need to stick to - give him time and allow the forward to find his feet. Instant expectation does little good for anyone, but with 15 goals in just 13 games already this season, there was only going to be one winner of the Player of the Month award for September.

And Notts fans feel as though Langstaff has only just whetted his appetite for more goals, with many predicting the striker will beat the current National League record for most goals in a season, currently held by former Dover Athletic man Ricky Miller, who scored 40 goals in 41 appearances in the 2016/17 season.
Langstaff equalled his tally from August which saw him scoop the Player of the Month award from his first six games in National League football, and has already started his October scoring, netting arguably his most important goal during the Magpies' 1-0 over Wrexham last Tuesday.
It has been a month to remember for the man from Stockton-on-Tees, starting September by scoring his first professional hat-trick in a 5-0 away win over the Daggers followed by another goal against Aldershot to hit double figures for the campaign after just eight games.
After failing to find the back of the net in the Magpies only defeat of the season to Dorking Wanderers, normality was resumed in their fixture against York City, netting his fourth brace of the season as Luke Williams' side returned to winning ways in front a sold out away end at the LNER Community Stadium.
It has been an enjoyable two months of the campaign for Notts fans, who see their team top of the National League and their striker top of the scoring charts.
